• Our Homes

Abbeyfield in Lytham has a traditional Edwardian house in Park Avenue (a conservation area) and adjacent Victorian semi’s at the end of quiet Cecil Street (just a short distance to the town). We can accommodate up to 18 single residents in self-contained en-suite, independent apartments. Some of our flats could take a couple. These comfortable spaces provide privacy, security and independence. Rooms and flats have separate shower and toilet facilities, a kitchen area for making breakfast and snacks and built in wardrobes and storage. Accommodation is on ground and lower floors with staff flats above. There are communal laundry facilities at each house. Free Wi-fi is available throughout.

Both houses have communal lounges, large conservatories and gardens with patio seating areas. Home cooked meals are served in our communal dining rooms at lunchtime and teatime.

Smoking is not permitted within either of our houses and pets are not usually allowed but may be considered if they can be confined to your room.

We offer our residents an independent lifestyle free of worries about extra bills and the complications of running their own house. Our residents have the freedom to come and go as they please, with the option to stamp their own style on their rooms with their own furnishings and belongings around them. We want our houses to feel homely rather than institutional and make every effort to keep them that way.

Our residents enjoy their independence, safe in the knowledge that there is a live-in manager on site during the day to offer help, support and companionship. They don’t have the worry of maintaining a property, the cost of food, adequate heating, payment of Council tax or utility bills as these charges are all included in their monthly rent.

The house manager checks on our residents every day and can assist in an emergency so you can feel safe, secure and comfortable. They and our house committee volunteers also aim to build lasting relationships with the friends and families of our residents and be a point of contact for any external agencies.
